Have just had my statement taken by the police. The futures bright, the futures orange white... and cube shaped... with bars :)

But in all seriousness, they are in serious **** now and could face potentially 20 years in jail for a variety of offences under the computer missuse act.

I can't say much more at this point as it is now an active police matter.

Lul, aren't they kids? I'm surprised their parents didn't take away their computers after the initial suit...this situation is filled with so much fail but not on Slavik's side...

They posted that they were doing it on their site

That alone won't cut it. Maybe they were shooting their mouths off. At best it is hearsay. At least in a Country where someone is innocent until proven guilty. And that is done with evidence.

Don''t get me wrong, hacking is illegal and as such should be punished to the full extension of the law. But your whole story seems a bit off to me, no offence. The way you said it is like you were the police, judge and jury all rolled up in one. You said that they hacked you from the University library pc or something like that, from a public area where a lot of people have access to the pc that hacked your site. You take them to court, the judge agrees with you completely and then the police arrests them at your say so.

I don''t know how things wok over there, nor am I Perry Mason, but only to investigate your claims would take months. And yet according to you it lasted several days. Just saying that this whole story doesn''t make much sense to me.

I don''t know how things wok over there.

No, you don't. And had you followed the thread you would also have read the points I had made previously about it being a civil and not criminal case.

then the police arrests them at your say so

Where have I ever stated this?

Just saying that this whole story doesn''t make much sense to me.

Probably best you don't keep on reading if you can't keep up then ;)

From your post above:

That says it all. Do you have any real PROOF other than what they allegedly posted in their website about being behind the attack on your forum? The police would have to get a warrant to confiscate their site content and for that they would need probable cause and not your hearsay. And there is no judge that would issue an warrant based on what you are saying. So how come they are in so deep ****? But I dunno, maybe in your la la land things work like that. Obviously you can get anyone arrested at your whim there lol :D

Oh, I can keep up with the posts here all right. But what I can''t keep up with is arrogance, attitude and ignorance.

And 20 years for a hacking? You must be the most important person in the world for them to be punished like that.

Anyway, I am done with this cock and bull story. Good luck with your la la case.

Well, there is obviously enough proof that the police were interested and appear, as Slavik suggests, that they will be taking action. I can't understand your comments of arrogance though, from what I've read, he knows its them and almost certainly has proof, but he's hardly going to post it on a public forum when its now a police matter, is he?

As for the 20 years, I suspect that's what they would be facing as a maximum punishment under the computer misuse act. Its not to say they would get that, but that's what the maximum could be.

So "now an active police matter" = "they have been arrested"? You need to take some steps back and stop jumping to conclusions.

Do I have proof? Of course I do, but do you think im blindly going to post that information into the public domain though, where, no matter how unlikely, they may find it and use it against us?

As for the jail term, more than reasonable. Unauthorised access with intent, 5 year maximum sentence. Unauthorised acts with intent, 10 years to name two charges which could be brought, other sections can also be called in. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1990/18/contents

Then again, what about this kid who got 4 months in jail for making a facebook group for 20 minutes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-west-wales-14631184

Your problems with arrogance and ignorance are your own, you admit you do not know how the legal system over here works, yet you make statements and accusations like you do... the irony...

At least someone understands it!

I just felt the need to ask some questions, after having personally dealt with a similar situation almost a decade ago, in a case with groundless accusations and forged evidence.

How do you know it's the same teens and not someone else claiming to be them? Have your ISP confirmed it's them again?
Have you ever met these teens or any of their relatives before the 1st trial?

Obviously I cannot post the technical evidence up at this point, once everything is concluded I will happily post it up, including as much evidence as I can and how we tracked them down.

However lets just say that the reason their called Skiddies ain't because they have skills...

erm, how has Schmitz been sentenced, he hasn't even been extradited back to the US has he yet?

(Have to say, haven't been keeping up-to-date with the case, but last I heard he was still in NZ)

Our legal system has become a formality of show and not an actual legal system. And unless someone is facing the death penalty, which in this case no one is; extradition too The United States is guaranteed

Don't feel bad. I didn't get the memo either, but it clearly stated that America polices the world.
