Control "nofollow" URLs

Control "nofollow" URLs 2.2.3

No permission to download
If you tell me specifically what isn't working and under what conditions I can fix it. As of now, to the best of my knowledge, this is working and stable.

Please tell me. On version 1.1.2 works?
I installed on 1.1.2, I have now the possibility to write new communication, edit them and use the search engine :(.

Please tell me how to configure it correctly?
Can I do that was so wrong?
I just installed the addon and all.
I have not 1.2!, I have 1.1.2 Work on my version?

Just follow the instructions in the resource description:

This add-on allows you to choose usergroups which will no longer have the "nofollow" attribute set on URLs. You can choose the usergroups in Admin CP > Options > Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

When a normal user creates a post that contains a link, the link looks like this:

<a href="http://www.google.co.uk" rel="nofollow">Google</a>

If you allow usergroups to bypass this (in the options I quoted above) then they look like this:

<a href="http://www.google.co.uk">Google</a>

Thank you Chris for this important addon! For vB I used the noox Link Optimizer (http://www.vbulletin-germany.org/showthread.php?t=6104, German) which allowed detailed tweaking of rel=nofollow for many different situations.

One feature from noox which I would whish to have in your addon too would be an additional white- and a blacklist for single URLs:
  • the whitelist contains n URLs, which are never nofollow - never mind, who posted them (Admin, Mod, the usergroups granted in your addon...)
  • the blacklist is opposite - these URLs are always nofollow, even if they are posted by a granted usergroup.

Imagine other own or partner sites: these URLs should get always follow backlinks, even if they are posted by guests or other non granted user groups. The more, the better.
And of course there are websites, which should never get follow links for any reasons. Even when granted user groups post them. They are allowed to post most URLs as followed, but not those few which we should never support.

Its relevant!
Could you consider it for a future release?

I have no way now create a message!!! Not active area!
2.webp

That's not caused by my add-on.

I've installed it on a couple of XenForo 1.2 installs today and it works fine.

You should create a new thread in the troubleshooting forum.

At first glance it looks like you're experiencing javascript issues and the editor isn't loading.

You keep saying 1.1.2.

Do you mean XenForo 1.1.2? (and old version) or XenForo 1.2? (the current beta version)

No, sorry.

They are pretty much hard coded to always have no follow removed from their links.

In my case, i need to add so many external links in my threads. But, i need do-follow links also. Is it possible to add no-follow to particular thread/post? Can you make an option like "Enable No-follow Links? Yes/No" while creating new threads?

Just a suggestion. You could make an account for your forum that isn't admin or mod position. You could use that account to post all of the links that you need to post that you want to be no follow. That might be your best option since @Chris Deeming said that you can't make Admins and mods no follow.
