Content Blur Pro - Boost Registrations and Upgrades

Content Blur Pro - Boost Registrations and Upgrades [Paid] v2.2.11

No permission to buy ($40.00)
I have a license for your limited viewing add-on. Would love to see an option that if you also have this add-on, it blurs posts after viewing limits are reached rather then forcing registering to intice registering even more by seeing a blurred post you just need to read based on the title :)

Interesting. What did you mean with "by seeing a blurred post you just need to read based on the title", you lost me on that part.

an exciting title of the thread that now has your curiosity you want to read so you register.. good teaser so to speak. So after they run out out of free views, they can still see new things posted. Just titles though, the thread itself is blurred.

I took a deep dive on this on your behalf. It get's really complicated due to conflicting requirements, or more specifically "options" between the two different add-ons.

I'll continue to consider it, but at this time, and given the fact there's ways to "almost" achieve your request between the two add-ons with current options, I'll not implement it immediately.

I do appreciate your input though... keep it coming.

Wutime updated Content Blur Pro - Boost Registrations and Upgrades with a new update entry:

v2.1.6

  • NEW: Option to allow blurring of embedded images in posts (default=on)
  • NEW: CSS blur styles to obey above option
    • Will trigger triggerStyleUpdate() when changed
  • NEW: Add new tab to options for appearance options
  • FIX: Add JavaScript to manage tabs and replace current tab on option saves
Thank you to @LemmeSeeHim and to @Rangers Nation for feedback

Is there any way to exempt some threads from blurring? I have advertisers who are complaining that suddenly their ad-threads are blurred. I'm blurring all threads (under permission mode) but would like their ads to appear to all users. If I set the blur to 1 post, then everyone can see the first post in all threads. I only need them shown in advertorial threads.

I take it your advertorial threads are somewhat scattered throughout your forum? Are they random posts, or always the first post? Is there a way to identify them?

You can use "Node Permissions": admin.php?permissions/nodes/

This would target specific "forums".

There's no way to "ignore" specific thread id's. I could add it, but I don't know how much "work" that would be for you to specifically enter each ID individually?

Is it possible to configure the add-on to keep the original post visible while blurring all replies? Will this cause any conflict with Google indexing?
Thanks
