XF 2.2 connecting to VB to import

does these DB setting have to be exact as the pre filled shows, or how they are displayed in my server setting on old VB forums please?

You get the values from the vb config file on the server.

Sorry yes I have the values but do they need inputting exactly as the ghost text shows? Tried it and say cannot connect

Enter the actual values.

The is showing which line you get the value from.

For example, if importing from XF2 it would show this for the DB name:


Which corresponds to this in the config file: $config['db']['dbname'] = 'xf_test'; .

So you would just enter xf_test .

Ok that’s why I was a bit confused. So I don’t need to enter all the $config and all that, just DB name then password and so on?
