VB to XenForo?

I'm a long time VB forum owner and I currently have a community I would like to revive. I was looking at VB but found out the team split up and this is how XenForo came about. I'm looking at going with XenForo as it has that old VB feel to it. The question I wanted to ask is, are we able to import VB DB at all? And if so, to what extent?

Xenforo's going to be what looks and feels closest to vbulletin. I recommend trying a demo. I did this when comparing Invision and Xenforo and found XF to be the most familiar, easy to adapt and understand.

Xenforo has and import that easily supports vbulletin, but of course you should do a test conversion with a copy of the board for a trial one. Do this to see how far you get, experiment with setting up new themes, replicating features/functions, etc.

Yeah, I was playing around with the admin side. Its a little different but like you said, It's really close to what I know. As for theming goes would you say it has good flexibility? Here is my old VB, as you can see it's been heavily edited. Also would you say it has a good mod community like what VBorg had?

Tons of flexibility on customization with XenForo; both from theme and development side--you could absolutely create a theme that looks like your old website in XenForo.

If this is referring to modifications to XenForo vs community moderators, XenForo has tons of 3rd party add-ons. Both paid and free.

So what I did was I found a free basic dark theme, and just customized it using the same header code from the vbulletin. I adapted the style to match the colors, etc. Some things will change, because Xenforo has a newer, more fluid look and feel.

But our users had no issues adapting.

The templates essentially work the same, with different structures. This wasn't that hard to figure out what goes where and how it works. So yeah, I strongly believe you can upgrade that to Xenforo. It's even easier with 2.3 that offers switching from light to dark & vice-versa. You'll be able to customize that all the same.

Definitely a strong community of addons. Look through what you think you need, to estimate the overall cost, since not all addons are free.

Send @Slavik a DM mate and he can get it done for you

Just one more question.. Though it's not a pre-sale question as I've already purchased. I may be over looking it but does Xenforo have the old equivalent of VB org for add ons and what not for Xenforo?
