Looking to switch from VB 4.25 to Xenforo

I'm in the early process of planning a move from VB 4.25 and XenForo is at the top of my list as a replacement. I've read through a ton of posts here on the migration process to see what I'm getting myself into and feel pretty confident I can handle it (I'm a business guy, not an IT/tech guy). My main questions though has to deal with the CMS side of things in VB and how that content is imported.

1. When migrating, how is the CMS content (articles) handled in XenForo?

Are they just imported as boards and posts, or ?? I have about 500 articles that would be imported so I'm a bit concerned how much extra work this might necessitate. I don't use the Blog function in VB so that's not an issue - just the CMS articles.

2. Can the "home" page easily be configured to display articles with previews and a menu for the different categories of article content, and then the forum area be a separate area?

This answer will probably dictate whether I use Xenforo for the article content or if I'll use WordPress for that side of things and then purchase the bridge to merge the user accounts between the two. I'd prefer to just have the one software to deal with, but having zero experience with XenForo I'm not sure how configurable it is in that regard. Biggest thing is I need the content side of things to be kept separate as it's currently behind a pay wall. I know I can do it with WP, but unsure if that's possible with XF.

3. In regards to migrating registered users, are their current passwords also imported from VB?

I still have nightmares from when I migrated from SMF to VB back in 2012 and the months of endless "can't login - need password reset" emails I was inundated with and have no desire to endure that again.

4. Are there any special settings or features that are required to be available on my server for Xenforo? Any additional recommended features/settings to have?

I currently have GoDaddy's Enhanced Web Hosting Plus and can change the PHP version as needed, but I want to make sure I have everything configured as needed beforehand so I don't have waste an hour or two on hold with them waiting to get through right in the middle of things because something I need wasn't turned on or installed, or worse yet isn't something they support and then be stuck.

Thanks in advance to those who respond, it's greatly appreciated!

I'd certainly look into Article Management System. You'll be able to do much more than you need.

I'd also consider to hire someone like @MySiteGuy to handle the import, redirections and optimization.

This is a new modification (relatively) but it sure does look cool. I've been thinking about trying it as well.
