XF 2.1 Confining a user group to one or two forum sections

I have a new user group called Super-troll Quarantine. I want to restrict them to two sections of my forum. What is the best way to do this?

Only allow that user group to view and post in those sections.

I mean I am a little confused on the best way to do the user permissions. Do I have to go through every single forum section and turn the ability to post off? I want them to see the other sections, just not post in them.

I wondered if there is a way to just tick two forums he can post in.

So I go to Xenforo control panel > Forums > Node Permissions and then set all 20 of my different forum sections one at a time?



Or, can I set each section rather than every individual forum? i.e. can I in this case just make the setting changes for Apps and Windows and then anything below that will be treated the same?

That's what Inherit does.

Many of the admins don`t know what Inherit does i think.

So in my case, if inherit is set on say Crystal Reports, does that mean if I set View posts to no on Apps and Windows, then Crystal Reports inherits the parent settings?
