Wondering when cloud is getting upgraded to v2.3

It's going to be a bit of a job to upgrade and check all the add-ons so I want to get prepared.
I see a good chunk of my addon's are updated and will only run on the new version so I'm refraining from updating those addon's.

Is there an automatic check that will tell me which addon's are not comparable so I can pay special attention to those.

The unfortunate thing is I cannot upgrade the add-ons in advance because a lot of them are not comparable with both versions.

It (the stable version) will be available on the same day it is released to everyone else. Your forum will be scheduled for an automatic upgrade as soon as it is released based on your preferences in the customer area. As it is a major release, by default that date will be further into the future than, say, 2.2.15 - 2.2.16. Once it is scheduled, you can choose to do it sooner, when you're ready, or you can defer it for a longer period.

There's no automatic check - we have no way of knowing which add-ons are compatible or not.

That seems extremely dangerous, what if people have a custom theme that isn't compatible with 2.3? Is there even a way they can do a test upgrade on their cloud site to 2.3 to get their theme upgraded and tested with a clone of their site? I assume people with XF cloud aren't given a way to download the XF files, so presumably they can't even install it locally to prepare a theme for 2.3 when their live site is running on 2.2

It's hardly "extremely dangerous". It's mildly inconvenient at best. Such issues can be dealt with if they happen in fairly short order. The potential issues and things that should happen before the upgrade takes place will be communicated clearly at release.

I'd argue the potential for someone's site being broken by an automated upgrade with no way to test it ahead of time is definitely "extremely dangerous".

It could be an easy fix, like pressing automatically merge templates, but it could also be an add-on breaking something and their entire site, including the admin panel is inaccessible, and they have to create a ticket and wait for either a rollback or for it to be resolved in some other manner. As far as I can tell there is no publicly posted SLA for response times on issues with XF cloud, but maybe I'm missing it, so if it's outside of business hours someone could presumably be waiting hours, or days for a fix
