with XF uploaded to "forum" folder on the server and SEO friendly urls enabled
...is it possible to remove "forums" & "threads" from URLs so instead:

    would be:

2nd question... is it possible to replace those words with different ones?
If so...where I could change it?

    Hi Brogan,

    Thank you for fast reply.
If I can't remove or change wording of "forums" & "threads" in URLs
do you know how to achieve this URL structure?

    http://www.8wayrun.com/forum/ - forum home

but when "forums" and "threads" are used in URLs, subfolder name ("forum") is removed

I just want to avoid having "forum" and "forums" in one URL

If you install in the root then there will be no additional /forum directory.

As for the specific set up of that site, you would better off asking the site owner.

I think it has something to do with his portal add-on.

If only this was true the "forums" & "threads" part sucks :C

Jaxel is one of the more established addon-author. The / and the /forum are caused by his XenPorta add-on, and it doesn't do /forum/forums or anything.

Cool, I just downloaded it and took a quick gander. Looks like he is using Shadab's library, just that it's bundled in with the portal addon. ;) Everything still needs to be uploaded to the root?

Oh, then I suppose it is. You can assume all the plugins go to the root, then.
