XF 2.1 Change the "Laughing Heart-Eyes" to just a Heart reaction?

I would like to change the "laughing heart-eyes" reaction to just a heart. Can anyone assist? Thanks!

I know but what do we put in the new image field? Is there an image library?

Side note: XenForo 2 manual, search "reactions".... 0 results

upload your new icon anywhere in the web server e.g. webroot/images/heart.png and then point the Image replacement URL entry to it. In this example, /images/heart.png

I will do that thanks. I didn't know if there were some stock images available in this style somewhere. I guess I will have to find my own.

Just realized all reactions are in a single sprite sheet.

Yes I noticed that too that's why I was wondering. And the XF2 manual has 0 results for "reactions."

Is there a way to just change the one without changing the whole sprite sheet?

I keep wanting to put the heart on a serious post and this dude is laughing lol.

As was already mentioned, you just change the image replacement URL to be the path to the desired image on your server, but if the reaction is already a sprite then you need to disable sprite mode:



You should be able to download all of the emojis for free from JoyPixels' website:

https://www.joypixels.com/profiles/emoji/red-heart

You just need the 32px version for the image replacement URL but for best results also download the 64px version and use that for the image replacement URL x2 as this will be served on devices with a higher pixel density instead.

Same process for smilies FWIW though you might need to resize them smaller.
