XF 2.2 Can't upgrade my forum

Current version: v2.2.2
Upgrading to: v2.8.1 patch level 1.
Any idea to resolve this?

Upgrading the old fashioned way will workaround this. Upload the 2.2.8 Patch 1 files from your customer area and run the upgrade manually.

This is a known issue but doesn't affect everyone. I'll look at smoothing out the bumps.

If i download xenforo v2.8.1 and upgrade to 2.8.1 then running via forum install to patch level 1 should this work?

You should just upgrade directly to the latest version.
