XF 2.0 Can't post when inserting smilies

If a user tries to make a post or thread and includes a smilie the loading animation shows for a while before stopping and remaining on the new post screen. The post is not created when this happens.

Any ideas on how to fix it

Are you able to replicate the issue yourself? If so are there any errors in the browser console? Are there any server errors logged when this happens?

I can recreate it and there are no errors being shown anywhere

No error is showing in it

TBH, you might be better off submitting a ticket, let one of the official XF staff take a look around.

Curious to know how this was resolved. Have a somewhat similar scenario, though it is intermittent. Sometimes, a new thread isn't created and requires a few clicks of the Post Thread button for the thread to get created. No errors. And can't replicate the issue.

XF 2.0 triggers a whole host of Mod_Sec rules. You need to get the host to work out which and disable them
