XF 2.2 Can't place widget under new posts?

I'm just wondering. I want to place an advertising under the "New Posts" button, so this section.

However, since Adsense does not allow that, in the advertising section this is excluded and these exclusions go for all advertisements.

So I thought I would make a widget with an ad like I did for one or two other ads.

However, I can place that widget in the "whats new" main section but not only on the result page of the "new posts" like stated above.

Is there no way to do this?

Where are you seeing that?

The whats_new_posts template is not excluded from ads.

I thought by this statement it was clear that I had put in the exclusion for that section.
Like various other sections. So I used the "Prevent ads showing in these templates" in the advertising section for this.

It just wonders me that this position is not present for placing widgets.

If the built in widget positions are not suitable, edit the template and add the widget manually using: <xf:widget key="widget_key" /> .

Oke so that would be the whats_new_post template? That is the same what you get if you press the "new posts" button on the right upper side of the forum, correct?
