XF 1.4 Can't make section private

I tried to add new section for my moderators but I can't make it private.

Here is what I did:

1. Add new section.
2. Select "Private node"
3. Then add the permission for administrator and moderators for that one.
4. Denied Register User and Un register user.

For some reason I can't even see that section. Any help would be appreciated.

You don't need to revoke access to other users. As it says, "If selected, users will only be able to view this node if they are explicitly granted permissions."

So try setting those for Registered and guests back to Not Set (No) and then use the Analyze Permissions feature to determine why you can't see it.

Leave them all as inherit on the groups you don't want to view the node. For staff user groups, set it to allow.
