XF 2.3 Can you use Xenforo as a wiki?

Hello,

I wanted to add a wiki to my Xenforo installation but I've read a lot of complaints about plug ins if you want both to use the same database. I also learned that most good wiki software costs a lot of money in yearly subscriptions. I always planned on having a curated wiki in which only a few people could contribute. I'm new to Xenforo, but I was wondering if there are any guides or tutorials out there that explain how you can build a wiki like experience with Xenforo? If so, could someone please share? I want to start with one editor in a specific section. Can I just make that user an editor and give him access to add articles to a certain section?

Thanks in advance,
Sprony

A super powerful wiki for xenforo is Vault Wiki.
ThemeHouse had a MediaWiki for Xenforo. DEMO: https://www.troublefreepool.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

Yeah, I've come across Vault Wiki. That's 80 dollars a year which is why I'm looking for an alternative.

If you want to spend a great deal of time creating and maintaining a wiki, unless your time is worth $1/hour ... you want robust wiki software that accomplishes what you want.

yes, but the software is VERY good.

Yes, which is why I’m looking into it. I’ll probably end up hiring someone to install it if I go that direction.

If your expected wiki editors are familiar with Mediawiki ... finding out if themehouse would sell you their Mediawiki bridge ... should be considered.

I don't know if you can embed mediawiki entries into xenforo posts though, and that's a major feature IMO.
