Can the file manager be included for self-hosted as well?

After working with a client on the cloud and then one on self-hosted... I really miss the File manager. Will that always be exclusive to the cloud hosting?

I agree it's very handy and makes things much easier for those who are less tech savvy, especially if they don't have cPanel or similar.

The only limit is the available disk space on the server.

As long as it's priced fairly. I do have FTP and Filezilla, so I probably won't need it except the rare instance I'm on my phone.

If we released it - and that’s a bit of an if at this point - it would just become part of the core software.

It’s also not particularly useful for much more than images at this point.

This would be a welcome feature. +1 vote from me as well. Some modifications require you to upload files to the server and it would be handy for those. Sometimes it's a PITA to SFTP the files to the server and something built in would be quick and easy.

The parent directory is fixed to /data though, so if the add-ons require somewhere else, that won't help.

Indeed. I think people might be expecting more than it actually does.

There’s a fixed entry point for files and it’s basically just a way to upload images.
