XF 2.3 Can images be magnified by users

Is there a way a user clucks an image to blow it up, or zoom in if you will.

the functionality is sadly very bad about support of this......if you happen to land on a lightbox display you can, but that is not always the easiest thing to do!

ive offered this suggestion but idk how effective these votes are, even ppl that agree dont vote... it seems pretty clearly bad UX to me tho...shouldnt even need to say anything.

still getting back around into all the corners and seeing how things look and work after the 2.3 upgrade...ive noticed this strange one and its on all xf sites ive looked at including this one.....

starting off, its good>>>go into the gallery>>>click a thumbnail>>>you get a large zoomable image, the sidebar, and the user controls and everything seems wonderful....

now, refresh the page?........none of that, forget it.....find your way back to the main gallery page and start again or forget it......click a thumbnail from there? forget it bud you are too far away just scratch your head and...
