RM 1.1 Can I Remove Download URL?

Hello! A user submitted a resource featuring a YouTube video. Instead of embedding it in the description, he placed the YouTube url in the "download" field. I edited it and embedded the video, but I can't adjust/remove the download URL, even if I reassign it to myself.

How can I remove/change the erroneous download URL?

Resource types can't be changed.

You will need to delete and recreate it.

Alrighty. Why's that the case? The uploaded file or URL can be changed during an update. In fact, a resource using a URL can chance to an upload during the update. Why can't they be changed to a resource w/o?

Resources with a file and resources without a file are conceptually very different and have different assumptions baked in.
