My company use Google Apps and it's awesome. The only downside is the ads.

I wonder, why we had ads in our gmail even if we use paid version...

Regular ole GMail. Using the pop and "send as" features for the non gmail accounts.

I just run all my email through google using pop3 works and then I only have to have one email account and still get all my emails.

You've never heard of InnoDB? You realize you should be running it if you install XenForo. XenForo utilizes InnoDB.

So can someone perhaps explain in kiddie terms how to enable it?

Its a method of storing data within the database. It should be enabled already.

Main 3 players that I am aware of are SquirrelMail, Horde, and RoundCube.

IIRC, SquirrelMail, Horde, and RoundCube are the products that come with CPanel, for whatever that is worth.
