XF 2.1 Broken image HTTP Code 200

It seems when an image proxy returns the broken image icon, it returns as HTTP Code 200, rather than 404. We just ran into an issue where that caused it to be pretty aggressively cached by our CDN (Cloudflare) because of that.

The proxy does add a Cache-Control: no-cache header when displaying the placeholder image. I'm not sure if you can relax the caching rule for proxy.php a bit so that it still caches it despite being considered dynamic content, but not so aggressively that it ignores Cache-Control headers.

Ah perfect. I've turned on Origin Cache Control for that path. hopefully that does it.
