XF 2.1 Bounce connection error: cannot connect to host ; error = fsockopen(): unable to connect to ssl

Well-known member
My host said that this was a CPanel bug that should be fixed now, but I'm still getting this error when cron job for email bounce starts:

Before that bug, the automated bounce email was working fine. But now it's still not working and the settings are the same.

Maybe anyone else encountered a similar situation?
