Board URL question

Ok so i add my Board URL as example.com and when i go to say test.example.com and click on fourm it shows as test.example.com (back on vb it used to force all the links to the board url) so forum would be example.com (when on test.example.com) its bloody hard to explain sorry. Its like its not forcing all links to the board URL setting
Bare in mind am just playing around here
So my question is there something am missing here?

I'm not really sure what point it is you're trying to make.
I have never used vB so any references to that mean nothing to me I'm afraid.

I think what you're trying to say is when you click on the forum tab, it's loading the correct URL and not what you have entered in the ACP?

The board URL in the ACP is mainly used for email notifications and the like.
