Hi. I hope you don't take the review personally. It is not a blemish on your ability as a developer. In fact, I could never design such a system. I have read of the improvements, almost as if they are a result of my direct feedback. The product simply did not meet my needs or expectations. I use your Sitemaps app, and I respect you as a developer. But I also feel I should rate products and services honestly, based on my subjective opinion, not to discourage potential customers, but to let them see what it was that discouraged a single buyer, and then look at the other reviews, and descriptions, and make an educated decision.
Because I am no longer using the product, it would be unethical for me to review any new version. However, I believe you, as well as others, when they claim its been improved. I have no gripe with you, and I have an enormous amount of respect for you developing on this platform. Whats one mans cop of tea is another man's poison. If you improve the product to greatness, you won't even need my review. In time, you will have dozens, and perhaps hundreds more.
Like I told you when I felt it hadn't exactly worked for me - please keep developing this product. Don't give up on it. Do I feel its worth $40? Probably not, but my website is going through a transition and money is very scarce. It is a hard migration, that is for sure. Google still has 200,000+ old backlinks listed and we don't know what is going to happen when those disappear.
So its been a stress, and trying to find a quick fix is tough. [additional private discussion excluded]
I wish you the best of luck with your product. Do not feel bad about my review. You can't - and shouldn't - try to please everyone.
