Nothing personal and I hope you don't take offense to this, but your posts always come off as very demanding. I find that response is generally more helpful and that people are more receptive to suggestions when I use a less interrogating tone.
By the way, if it's as important to you as you make it seem, how much trouble would it be to google what an RSS feed is?
1. Prefacing remarks with "
Nothing personal and I hope you don't take offense to this ..." is a dead giveaway that the speaker is about to be offensive but doesn't want to be criticised for it.
2.
... your posts always come off as very demanding. Always? All 455 of them? Wow! You read them all!
Come on ... you are being way too sweeping and overlooking loads of posts where I'm not asking for anything at all. Others I ask v ery gently and some yes I ask firmly. Nothing wrong with being demanding at times.

...I find that response is generally more helpful ... ??? doesn't make sense sorry. What response?
4. ...
people are more receptive to suggestions when I use a less interrogating tone. Interrogation is asking questions. I think you mean something different but I don't know what word you meant.

... how much trouble would it be to google what an RSS feed is? Too much trouble. I'm running on 3 hours sleep last night and the same is happening tonight. Not a problem but it does mean using shorthand here and there.
What I meant was that I don't know what RSS is, and there are lots of cool services on the net but I don't have time or interest to research them all, and I'm not asking anyone to educate me but ... as I continued ... what I'd like is more control over what I follow and track.
Now Brogan answered me perfectly nicely and says a request is in for the Category follow - which has been requested by lots of people.
The
My Library idea has also been discussed and is a popular idea.
For those that know and like RSS I'm sure it's dandy.
Just like Facebook/ Twitter/ Ebay/ Amazon/ online banking / MSN / AIM/ WOW/ Spiral Matrix/ Second Life / Freecycling / Sainsbury's online ordering/ dating sites/ porn sites/ Mumsnet/ specialist academic Search engines / Panda security online/ They Work For You ... and a host of other online services.
I use some of those but not all of them. I only have one life one brain and not enough hours. A common problem for older people running several businesses and supporting a family. If you're younger and freer I'm delighted for you but don't speak as if you know how best to use my time.
