Agreed on madVR however most peoples VLC output is **** because they don't change the video output settings from "Default"

Even when output is modified, theres still a difference.

Also, if output requires major modifications... Most people won't understand it, or do it. MPC plays well out of the box, and gives you the option to modify settings, but its not required for play quality.

Changed my mind on my favourite video player.

PotPlayer is absolutely amazing - all the features of MPC and more in a much nicer interface.

Lots of nice little touches really, like MKV chapter highlighting (great for anime) and able to overlay the standard fullscreen UI over madVR.

VLC Player is awful...

I personally use the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (slightly different from the K-Lite Codec Pack) with Media Player Classic... I prefer this over CCCP because I find CCCP pretty bad for watching actual cinema. Yes, if you are watching nothing but anime, CCCP is probably the way to go, but aside from that, you end up having to do a lot of customization to get actual live cinema to look as it should. K-Lite Mega handles all of that, and also takes a lot less resources.
