Here is his thread on here,
mattwservices.co.uk - Server Configuration / Hosting / Support
I've not really put anything on here to advertise myself before, as people have just been contacting me to request work be done. Here is what I'm available to do. Server Management Services Server Configuration (CentOS / Cpanel) Apache setup Nginxcp setup Switch MySQL to Percona / MariaDB...xenforo.com
Or KnownHost as suggested above.
Personally, would go with MattW before KnownHost, but that is just my preference.
Yeah, I've heard horror stories about their hosting. I use them for my domain registrar for darn near 20 years now. But I would never host with them.An interesting article popped up on Reddit about GoDaddy: https://www.igorkromin.net/index.ph...ascript-into-your-website-and-how-to-stop-it/
If this is true, and I wouldn’t know as I’ve never hosted with them, those who prefer GD should probably look into switching that off if you want to boost performance and not run afoul of privacy laws.
Edit to clarify: from the Reddit comments, it seems this only applies to US customers, likely due to EUs privacy laws. I’d still recommend switching it off, though, as any JS code like that is going to needlessly slow down your users’ browsers.
Oh, price is a huge concern for me. I'm old, broken down, and on a small disability pension. I'm 63, and last month I created my first budget. Ever.If you need something fully managed and price isn't too much of a concern, I'd suggest https://www.bigscoots.com , their support is top tier.
Well that's lovely. I now have 12,0001 reasons to suggest clients don't use GoDaddy. An interesting article popped up on Reddit about GoDaddy: https://www.igorkromin.net/index.ph...ascript-into-your-website-and-how-to-stop-it/
