As explained in the error log, user changed password or did something similar. The user should see the recovery link, clicking it will refresh the authenticated connection and everything should work again.

Oh, I misunderstood. That happened when you do the test connection? Then no notice will show up because that test was handled by XenForo.
Now you just need to do something in the front end (post something with the checkbox checked etc.) and the add-on will take care of that and find out your token is expired. It then will show you the notice.

tried that, and it posted to my timeline but not the site's FB page. No notice about expired token
HOWEVER
when i went back into the backend & retried the test it still failed. then i clicked my domain name (beside Thread Create: Facebook) and it popped up a dialog asking if i wanted to post to my site's page or to another page i seem to have rights to(?) & when i selected my own, the test worked.
crazy times...

Hmm, so maybe (just maybe), the Facebook Page under your management has some changes and causes expiration for the token of the page only (not your personal token). Yeah, authentication is always complicated

For that add-on, only manual sharing is implemented.

so this still isn't working - even though the test worked, it wasn't posting anything to facebook, so i went back to the options & tried the test again... and it failed.
XF FB integration test still says connectivity is there.
so i had the bright idea of disabling "Auto Sharing for `Thread Create`" in the Social Share options so i could reenable it & hopefully replace whatever authorisation token that's been messed up.
And now i can't reenable facebook in social share... same error again.
This all seems to come from me changing the FB page admin password a while back. I don't know if that's any help?

I want all new threads created to MY Twitter account.
I want new threads and new posts created by individual users to be posted on individual users accounts (who are posting if they have FB/Twitter configured to be posted on their own accounts.)
Is this possible with your addon? let me know please.

Right now, the automatic thread share does this.

I only want

So no thread description just thread title.

i think i may have found the problem - i've been logging into the backend with one account and frontend with another, so i wasn't seeing token errors for my admin account in the frontend.
need to do some more testing.
Let get all of your addons tested on 1.3.0
