But I'm definantly correctly copy 'n' pasting it from my user key @ https://pushover.net/

This error is with the Add-on installed on my site and me trying to add the Pushover user key into my user profile.

yeah you want to create an 'application' on pushover and put that key that gets created in the options for the addon.

you then associate your 'user key' to sync your own account to your mobile device. i made the same mistake

@xfrocks, can conversation alerts also be added, what about alerts from other addons i.e. showcase, pickem, sportsbook (from @Bob B )

Oh. You should enable debug mode in your site then. It will log information regarding failed validation. My guess is you haven't added any devices, have you?

It supports all kind of alerts, even from add-ons. Conversation doesn't have alert though... (XenForo doesn't send alerts for conversation messages).

The interface is different but the functionality is basically the same.

Awesome addon. Picked it up and finally picked up alerts, been meaning to do that for a while.

Question though, is there any way to see how many users have attached a pushover account?

You can run a query to find out I guess. But that number does not mean much anyway. You should check the message count at Pushover site.
