This is really strange, i sent myself a PC from a test member i created to test an email and another member got it to as did i? The add on is off by the way as of this morning but this same meber said the same thing yesterday with add on on. any thoughts? It was on Tapatalk if that would even matter.

The receiver is an admin or something? There is an option to forward all mails to an address FYI.

I have just read the part about Tapatalk, it's a push notification and not emails. You will need to ask that member about his/her Tapatalk app configuration and such.

I was having a problem with permissions: the plugin is working correctly turning bounced emails to "awaiting email confirmation from edit".
But, when a user wanted to Update email... he couldn't because permissions were denied.

After running my first newsletter - in the reports section of Mandrill it had about 10 emails listed for "reported as spam." Should I take any action on these emails? If so - what?

Having read back through the entire thread, it's confusing me on how to set this up (not that it takes much to confuse me!). Does anyone have a step by step procedure I can follow through to set this up through Mandrill?
I think I have it straight in my head what to do, just want some confirmation before changing the live forum settings.

I did a bunch of tests runs - turned it on and off at will in the ACP. It reverts back to email going out from your host when turned off. Mandrill tracks outbounds which you can see it's performance.

By default, Mandrill will put those into a blacklist and stop delivering email to those addresses for a while. If those emails end up in bounced list, they will be taken care by the add-on automatically.

That's just how the add on logs failed messages. If you look at the bottom, the response from the receiving server marked the message as spam.

I've had 2 people in the past mark things as spam and never did I get an error on it.
Further, this person doesn't seem to have been moved into "waiting verification"

It's up to the email provider to reject mail to a certain address, there is a lot of heuristic processing here so I can only guess here. Further more, spam rejection has a timeout of itself (and will be permanent after a few attempts). About moving to awaiting verification, that only happens to bounced email address. The email provider may or may not move the rejected addresses to the bounced list (they have 2 lists with a bit of overlap: bounced list and rejected list).

That is your server not being able to resolve the URL for Mandrill to be able to connect to it.
What are you using for your resolver on the server?
