XF 1.3 BB Code Media Sites Not Working Through SSL

I ask because a lot of my media sites don't work on my site after using SSL. Stuff like cnn, dailymotion, twitter doesn't work. All my addons are disabled. I am using the default xenforo forum theme with no edits. I have disabled listeners and enabled debug in config.php.

They all need to be accessed over SSL (any iframes, scripts, images, etc). If they're not (or they can't be), they won't work on an SSL page.

My site is on SSL. I have @JoshyPHP s9e Media BB Codes Pack installed. I'm wondering if that's interfering or not. So I've uninstalled it and all other BB Code Media Sites. I then used @Chris Deeming Reset BB Code Media Sites Query. I reset the cache first then used the main query on his resource. I still have all my addons disabled, listeners disabled in config.php, using default forum theme with no template edits and I have debug mode on.

I've cleared my cookies and temporary internet files in Google Chrome browser (I chose everything since the beginning of time) and I still can't view YouTube videos but I'm able to view it in Safari. I downloaded Firefox, first time in a long time and when I view a YouTube thread there I still can't see it not as a guest or logged in.

Oh okay. So only YouTube works. I have to edit the other default bb codes.
I'll delete them all and reinstall s9e as an experiment.

All the default videos sites on my work with the exception of Liveleak.

Are any of you able to get Liveleak to work on your sites that have SSL?

I removed the http:// from the Embed HTML part but it's still not working.

I looked to see if the liveleak video worked in both Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

Here is the video I used:
Embedded media from this media site is no longer available

I reported the issue in @JoshyPHP thread: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/s9e-media-bbcodes-pack-★★★★★.61883/page-24#post-775821

This is where I originally posted the video: https://8th.us/topic/8th-us-news-and-updates.18447/page-9#post-213614

It's down to the media service to support SSL embedding. If it doesn't, there's not much you can do about it on an SSL page.

And it looks like all LiveLeak does is use SSL for logins. There are some people complaining about it - but like Mike said, the onus is on them (or serve your site without SSL or remove them as a media BBcode). SSL does have some downfalls - this being one of them.

Its not ridiculous, its basic security. You are accessing secure page. It would be silly to allow part of content being insecure.

What is ridiculous is some media sites still not supporting SSL. SSL certificates are very cheap, you can get one for 1 year for less than $10. Maybe you should consider not using such media sites.
