I'm trying to do a small template modification on the quick search addon for XF2.

I'm trying to add a new data column that shows the results for "tag line" field for resources.
There's a chance that I'll have to do some php coding to add something like $result.tag_line but I was wondering if perhaps it was already coded in XF.
How do I go about finding php code like this? What software do you use if you use any? What directory do you think this would be in?
