Barefooting

That is pretty sick....I would have never thought of that or related it to nerves.....traction control for your feet huh...the human body is an amazing machine.

Well, that's one mystery solved.

Although the comments on that article nitpicking over the author's use of "design" is both hilarious and disturbing. o_O
I noticed that, it's like 1 out of 100 people want to cipher an answer out of questions and do the group thinking thing...but the rest are there to fan some flames. People are arguing not about beliefs or anything they are literally arguing over the definition of a word...and their arguments ave nothing to do with wrinkled feet lol.

I've actually taken up running recently - barefoot of course, and even managed to convince my next door neighbour to dump her shoes and join me :)

Thats cheating though, your on grass!! I would be more impressed if the picture showed you and your neighbour running through the streets of Reading!

I would love to save £100 a year on running shows, but I dont think running barefoot through the streets would be a good idea!

when i was child (1-16yrs) i used to barefoot a lot. In the worst places and the worst condition i used to love to play soccer barefooted. I injured myself a lot during that time. Anyway I don't why? now i am afraid to walk without a sandals or a shoes . :(

It is the price we pay for growing up and realizing our own mortality. When we were kids we were fearless... going barefoot through anything, jumping off edges, climbing trees, testing the thin ice. Now we peer over the edge and think "I ain't jumping off that!"

As we grow, fears grow in us

I liked the barefoot thing when I tried it several months ago. But I have since discovered that my right leg is a good half inch shorter than my left. I started using a lift to correct it and my entire body is better for it. I put the lift on my birks and now I live in them.

But I have taken up cycling the last several months. :D

Sounds like I need to take some more pictures, but then again, who would really want to run along pavement when you have meadows beside the Thames on which to run? I know which I'd prefer.

Very true.
Saves you having to clean your shoes after every run as well at this time of the year!

Not really related to barefooting, but some may have seen on Twitter that I've got some ankle problems at present (could be a form of arthritis) and I have some rather impressive swelling going on in both of them. It's not too bad right now, but this might give you some idea...
