Backup Xenforo

    Hey guys,

    What does everyone use to back up there xenforo forum?

    My cms is Wordpress, so I Was thinking about using vaultpress for my Wordpress backup.

    But what about for xenforo? Any help would be great.

    phpmyadmin, backup tool. Do you have a licence now then?

    SSH backup and dump it in another directory.

    Be sure to use mysqldump to backup as described in Jake's link. Other methods are very unreliable and only work for extremely small forums.

    Also your backup needs to be copied to another drive which is extremely important.

    Yup, that's going to be part of another script I'm doing.

    I'm putting together a box so I can start doing Linux. I'm tired of the Windows world.

    Smart move.

    My Centos server has two drives, the second drive is used for backups (I use rsync run from a cron to do this).

    Also I own an iMac at home and it's super easy to rsync from my server to an external drive on my iMac. It's a great way to backup all your important data that is outside of your server environment.
