XF 1.4 Avatar Images are not Shown in Email Notifications

Email notifications from my board do not show the avatar images. The frame for the avatar is there but it holds no image:



The email client is not the cause of this because the email notifications I get from the XenForo board do show the avatar images.

I need help troubleshooting and fixing this.

It likely means you have the wrong board URL specified in Options > Basic Board Information.

I checked the Board URL. It seems to be correct. Has the right address and no trailing slash at the end.

The same address is used for the Forums tab and the Logo, and it works.

Another note: the field for the Home Page URL is empty as I do not have a home page other than the forums.

Your site is behind a .htaccess password. That would suggest that your avatars directory is, too, hence it can't be viewed unless authenticated.
