Automagic Mobile-Phone photo-shoot:


This is the process for a user:


1)
user clicks onto a button at the Forum-Editor.
This button is named "shoot photo".

2)
user makes a photo-shoot with his mobile phone.

3)
photo gets automatically optimized (decrease MB-size to certain KB-size).

3)
photo gets automagically posted into a Forum-thread.

4)
user clicks onto "submit" in order to post his photo into the Forum-thread.

That's pretty cool idea I guess with the increased usage of mobile + photos. Would not have any use on my forums but it's a good idea nonetheless.

@erich37 I tested your idea with my Android 4.3 on Google Chrome and it works. When I click the upload file button then I am asked which app to choose and I choose the cam and when the taken photo fits the requirements it will be uploaded. The only problem I had, the photo must fit the requirements, in my case the file size. That should be auto resolved in the future.

there are many websites which provide this feature.

Especially "Classifieds-websites" like for example http://shpock.com/en/ are growing like crazy just because of this feature. I believe it is just 1 click (taking the photo) and the image is uploaded automagically.

I have never used Instagram, but I believe it is based on the same concept (besides the photo-filter which alters the appearance of the image itself).


Anyway, I think if this process could be simplified and properly integrated into Forums, then Forum-Communities will pick up a lot in terms of user-grow and user-participation.....
