Lack of interest "Ask a Question" should open in new tab

There are few resources which has a "Ask a question" button .. when i click on that i am being redirected to the author's forum/website. Instead of this, why not open up a new tab so that users don't have to click back... Who knows users might not come back after being redirected to other support sites
