Well, I think that's a good thing as the average Xenforo admin is quite confused by Xenforo permissions.
And has been for the last 3 years.

WYSIWYG editing became popular for a reason.

This has nothing to do with beauty. The UI you are suggesting is unintuitive and requires an odd shift in mentality when editing them, when the tools needed to determine if someone has the permissions or not are already provided within the software.
