The max_execution_time value is set to 30 seconds...however, my apc.php says the the uptime is 0

Also I have disabled suEXEC because I have read that APC have some troubles with suEXEC...

Some help?

If you are using WHM, they logs cron restarts apache. You can change the length of time so that apache stays up longer.

I thought you were using Apache, or are you using Nginx with Apache backend for PHP?
Yes, I´m using Nginx mainly and using Apache with other port following these steps:
Code:
go to Main >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings
Under system tab change Apache non-SSL IP/port to 8081

No offence claudio, but your posts here (and the other threads) you have made indicate to me you have minimal experience with a VPS / dedicated server.

I'm all for helping people learn, but maybe you should consider joining a more specialised forum for discussions like these? You are making changes to your server, without even knowing what your running yourself, by proxy how can you expect us to help you if you can't answer basic questions such as Shamils first?

Also by that proxy, how can you yourself expect to install and configure things correctly if you don't know what your running!

Don't be too harsh I've only just got a VPS, I'm doing everything via CLI and I'm slowly learning. I do agree it's good to have a more specialised help source, I would try and find a good IRC channel if I was you Claudio :)

Is this the right forum or am I forgetting something?
Server Configuration and Hosting

This forum is for questions about configuring your server for XenForo

I´m sharing my experiences with my dedicate server if it is a help for someone...
Also I´m emailing hostgator because I have a managed VPS.. they are going to install FastCGI and that would be enough to solve the issue :)

If you're paying for a managed service you might as well get your monies worth and tell them to sort it for you ;)

Well..no offence Slavik, but I have installed APC following your instructions (http://xenforo.com/community/threads/apc-installed-but-not-working.23882/#post-293828) and a system admin of Hostgator told me:
I've switched PHP to FastCGI at this time. However, it appears the APC installation may still be having issues. Did you perform the installation yourself? It looks like it might not be built correclty
Well...I perform the installation myself but I didn´t get any errors when I did it..

With WHM, one can use the module installer -> PECL to install APC, however, you need to do a yum install pcre-devel first.

Following those instructions shouldn't yield a problem.

Can the Hostgator technician be a little bit more specific?
