XF 1.4 Anyone using bounce handling with Amazon SES?

I haven't been able to figure this out myself. Is there any way to make the Amazon SES work with the default bounce handling mechanism built into XF 1.4?

Reviving this as I'm also a bit confused getting this to work.

I have a gmail account and have entered it in xenforo email bounce options.

I get bounce email notifications from Amazon (to the default address of my xenforo installation, i.e. returning to the address that sent the notifications)

You have to go through Amazon's notifications settings so that your bounced messages are forwarded to you - in this case a gmail.com or similar email address that you can point XF bounce checking to.

I cannot see where I edit in the Amazon notification settings.

SES handles my forums email, bounce backs are done via SNS...

In SNS, > Topics > Create New Topic > Name it and create it.

Select new topic (checkbox) > Drop down actions > subscribe to topic > change protocol to email > enter email address that XF accesses to process bounces.

Go back to SES > Click email > assign the new topic to the bounce position.

Repeat above steps for complaints.

You will get a confirmation email to your bounce address, click to accept it... all done.

I spent hours searching for this solution. Hopefully this helps someone else.
