The real question is .... why would you want to use/install an (apparently) maintained XF resource where the developer/author has seemingly abandoned XF and engagement with their resource(s)?
Thats an interesting collaboration between two parties.Dear admins, There are a few plugin makers that I trust in terms of addons and codes and themes.DragonByte Tech
The point? They don't need updating to remain active listing on XFThere are many add-ons that work for years, and don't need updates.

I saw your last two bug reports. The first of those he fixed a day later, I believe, the second you reported after updating to v2.3.0 Release Candidate 2, which most addon devs will not be supporting yet. Did I miss any others?View attachment 304455
What about developers who log in but don't provide support? Even though I have reported bugs many times, he has not responded at all.

I think you're right about there being no support for RC. But at least you wrote a word or two to emphasize it. FYI, you didn't see I also sent a DM.I saw your last two bug reports. That dev has a lot of addons to maintain, and likely full-time work on top of that, and frankly, I would guess that it might "miff" him a little that anyone would expect an update for a RC release. And I'm pretty sure that that particular error you reported is a direct result of the upgrade. No worries, though, he will doubtless update it when the final 2.3 release rolls around.I think you're right about there being no support for RC. But at least you wrote a word or two to emphasize it. Deleting unsupported addon's when the dev has abandoned XF is NOT the problem. Leaving them listed is the problem, as already pointed out.Deleting working addons is the problem.
https://xenforo.com/community/threads/xtr-random-tips-deleted.169399/ is an example where dev hasn't responded to posts in over 3 months. That’s not the case with this addon maker.
Disagree. Being alerted to the removal of an addon when the dev is not participating in XF is very useful, whether I have that addon or not. As already outlined in this thread, it's also a big issue/disadvantage for admin's looking for addons and perhaps wanting to use/install one, only to later - eg. a question or bug is found - to find the dev hasn't participated in XF for many months and is unlikely to come back. The point is, if a trouble-free add-on continues to work, there's no need for the developer to maintain a presence here every 45 days. People have lives that don't revolve around XF.
Sure, I can see removal if it there is an actual problem with the add-on, but I've seen many perfectly good add-ons disappear over the years simply for being not logged in too long.
This dev hasn’t abandoned xenforothe dev has abandoned XF
Disagree. Just a couple of posts up is an example of where they haven't responded to resource errors/questions in over 3 months, hasn't visited XF in 45+ days, and hasn't bother to action an alert/notification email sent prior making them aware their Resource would shortly be deleted if they didn't logon soon. That's a good definition/in-action for abandon by any reasonable standard. This dev hasn’t abandoned xenforo
That would surely cause legal issues. How about instead of deleting it -- after 45 days, it goes open source/free/community?
That is the dumbest thing ever. How about you create something, ask money for it and people decide to open source it or hand it for free ?How about instead of deleting it -- after 45 days, it goes open source/free/community? Developers could opt-in to that policy on a go-forward basis. If they come back, it can be upgraded to a new version and go paid again. or something.
After the war and world hunger...That is the dumbest thing ever
Yes, it makes much more sense to edit the source as open source for free instead of deleting the source or content, especially a working source and content. That is the dumbest thing ever. How about you create something, ask money for it and people decide to open source it or hand it for free ?
