Sorry, I should have been clearer. Image optimisation removes the exif data (and I think that's permanent) so you probably don't want to do that. I asked if it was on in case that was what was stopping the exif showing. I don't use Media Gallery myself so not sure if there are settings for exif within it, so will leave that one for someone else.
