Any news about Xenforo 3.0, can we expect modern forum?

Hello. For half a year, I have been looking for a modern forum system to start an anime/manga site with various features. For example, a video system for watching movies/episodes, a way to add manga/anime as pages with information about them, topics with posters, etc. I saw that all of this is possible with Invision Community.

I waited to see version 5, but it turned out that the self-hosted platform is extremely expensive and has functionality limits. They also changed the way we acquire add-ons, significantly restricting options, and almost no themes exist for their latest version.

On the other hand, XenForo seems like a better alternative in terms of user base and price, but the forum and themes, in general, look like they’re from the early 2000s. I understand that some may find this nostalgic, but it looks incredibly outdated and is not visually appealing.

That’s why I’m wondering what exactly to expect with version 3.0. Can we anticipate a modern interface similar to Invision Community? I really don't want to go to invision as they may drop self-hosted in next version, as they aim for big comapanies, not common users now.

Better content discovery (unified customizable mixed content what's new) will help a ton if they ever implement it.

If they could do a what's new that's also a feed view that will show posts or threads with previews of their content would be neat too.

Could do an endless scroll of new content with text snippets which could help the phone users. Regular forum list view would always be accessible.

Feed view could be an endless scroll of content with snippets kind of like how article forums get shown in mobile:

Except it would show recent threads (preview of first post if it's new to you or preview of latest unread post if it isn't), new content from other add-ons with previews, new reviews, etc, new anything from any addon (customizable) in a feed. This would be great for mobile users used to how things work in social media. Regular forum list would still be accessible obviously.

Can you provide some context? I didn't say anything about social media.
Social media is full of scam ads, suggested pages and other unwanted crap you don't need.
A forum is where you have a private place to chat with people about proper things without the trolls, scammers, pedos asking for friend requests, porn bots trying to be gross with their posting, people impersonating others, fraudulent pages and stupid people.
You want social media go to facebook and put up with all that rubbish.
If you want a forum stop being such a fussy old fart that thinks forums are social media.

By the way, it wouldn’t be a bad idea if the developers of XenForo, assuming they are reading this thread, connected with some popular add-on developers. I really liked this approach in the Invision forum. They partnered with two of their most popular application creators, and these developers consistently strive to provide high-quality, updated, and reliable applications.
I believe XenForo could do the same, or even attract these developers to create versions of their applications as add-ons for XenForo. Currently, the platform has quite a few add-ons, but connecting with the developers is difficult, and in some cases, you don’t even get a response. Moreover, many of their add-ons are not even translated into English.
There are many ways to modernize things, step by step and the fact that this thread become popular, means there are people like me, who thinks that Xenforo should step towards new era.

I don't understand. I didn't suggest anything you wrote.
