Any local community forums on here?

Just wondering anyone on here runs a local community forum?

Thought it might be interesting to see what approach each other takes and how things are working out.

"Peggy" used to run one, she even pushed it pretty hard using facebook to help try and promote it, but it never took off for her. In the end, she took it down and just carried on running the facebook page alone.

Yup, can be tough work. Were going to be celebrating our 5th Birthday in May.

I think its because I dislike our competitor so much that keeps me going (and gets me angry )

Been running one since jun 2011 (it's more fishing community for locals) ....there were certain times i thought this won't work out but after few good weeks i started with small get togethers/lunch programs .

You should do pretty well with a fishing forum once it's gets going, it's a very popular hobby.

Ye it's getting good now ! Lot of members activity . We do get togethers/Fish fry's etc ...starting raffles next month and giveaways once we are set with some sponsors .

It's all contents that's driving good amount of traffic and members .
