Another conversion question

I'm almost ready to convert my forum. I have my IPB installed in a directory called /forum and xenforo installed in a directory called /forums

My question is, does it matter that it's installed in a different directory? Once I've converted my forum, all traffic headed towards IPB links will be redirected to my new directory anyway, correct?

Yes. You'll need to upload the redirection script for IPB to the /forum directory though.
