This evening just before sunset, we had a fairly impressive thunderstorm. Afterwards, the skies in the west cleared very quickly, leaving the sun shining through while it was still raining relatively hard overhead. The result was fairly spectacular.

Ah. How I miss having that weather here in San Bernardino, California. Those storms do not arrive anymore; now it is fog at most.

I'm glad that you looked up at the water vapor, refracting the sunlight, at a 45 degree angle.

I was wondering if someone was going to mention the double rainbow reference. :p

That really looks awesome though. Too bad this afternoon didn't have clear skies here. :(

It's subtle, but you can see Alexander's band between the bows, and the reversal of colours in the outer band. Well done!

When I got off work this morning, the sun was just coming up and was absolutely blood red. I was driving when I noticed it and couldn't pull over to take a shot.
    Darn it. :(

I can't really compare to the quality of Kiers pictures, but some I've taken with my phone:

Double rainbow too, I was really impressed when I saw that. :)
