Even though the settnigs say do not create topic, after the update, instaed of reporting, opens up thread...
Do you have XenForo set to send reports into the report system?
Liam
Try enabling the redeploy option, it should help catch AE's of AE. It should still only produce 1 report per pair.Liam Hi. Everything is sorted out but one last thing: Plugin does not create seperate reports for AE's of the AE's. Existing report is bumped but there is a problem: one of the users is the old merged/deleted one in the report. Does not show the new AE.
I installed the update yesterday, and got a couple threads created by the alter ego detector user, that says "Alter ego detector is an alter ego!" of a certain other user of ours.... Gotta be an error. Nobody's actually ever logged in as the alter ego detector account before... it's just a dummy account![]()
Did you rename the alter ego detector account after someone created it & logged in? And have you check it's last login date?
Have you uploaded the files? Are you using an addon installer or similar?I get a blank page when trying to install importing the XML.
I haven't had time to look into this yet. But detecting AE of AE's is a weakness of this addon in it's current form.Redeploy is already enabled. But this does not create a unique report for the AE of the AE. It just bumps the old report (only if it is permitted) and does not tell you the AE of the AE. Shows only the first AE.
Ugh. Well simple solution is to not generate reports for the alter ego detection user.I created it via admincp. It's never been logged into (Join date = last activity date, both April 24, 2014). I'll set its perms to ignore alter ego detection.
This is a good suggestion.Suggestion - The ability to include the pair of names in the title. In the post message, {username1} & {username2} are okay, but the subject can only use {username}.
Putting all the usernames into the report title would quickly become problematic. Plus the addon really doesn't have enough information persisted to build that graph of linked users.Repost...
Suggestion: If the cookie registers more than two ID's on the computer, post them all on the AE report. Not separate posts for A-B, A-C, etc.. but A, B, C, D, E, F all included. It helps to link a group of puppet accounts.
Already exists, search for "aedcheckips". This adds an IP check on login. And what about to add same ip detection? If some users use few browsers or will remove their cookies.
