Allow users to extend non-recurring upgrades

When a user purchases a non-recurring upgrade, it is currently not possible to extend this upgrade, eg. the user must wait until it has expired and only then he can purchase it again.

This is not intuitive and not a good user experience as the user will most likely loose permissions (for the time between expiration and re-purchase).

XenForo itself can be renewed at any time, extending the support runtime - IMHO it should be the same for User Upgrades.

It's been 9 years this was initially requested, and I'm sad to see it's not yet implemented. In my opinion this is a must have.

I agree. It should be possible to extend. The extended period of time should be added to the existing booked period.

I can't really believe this, because it is a normal non-recurring payment. Xenforo should only extend the existing run time.

Implemented - PayPal NVP API

The PayPal integration XenForo uses is the old school "Website Payments" system that PayPal supports via creating a form and submitting it to PayPal. It works, but PayPal has an exponentially better API now that let you do a LOT more than just blindly take payments...
