When an author's post is deleted by a moderator, it disappears to the author.
If the author was allowed to view their post after deletion, they would gain the ability to reflect upon their post in the original context and learn how to not make the same mistake again.

For reflection purposes, authors should be able to view their deleted posts and the deleted post alert (if any) should link to the post.
The post should appear as a minimized spoiler until opened to not negatively affect reading the thread.

Use the warning system and they get a quote of the post. It can be 0 points and a friendly reminder. You can then delete, and they have their copy. For simply deleting, to me, the Reason field suffices.
