XF 2.0 Alert System - Posting Question

Hello again,

With regards to the alert system in xenforo2.

I posted on someone else's thread today, and then another member posted an hour later.

Should I get an alert that there was a reply or is that not how the system works?

I like the idea of keeping everyone updated and also letting members know if there was updates to posts they have posted in.

I think an email is overkill for this, but the alert system is great?

You will get alerts and (optionally) emails for threads you are watching. At the top of each thread there is a "Watch" button.

You can automatically watch threads you create or interact with and whether or not you receive emails using these options in your Preferences:



These preferences can be set on your own site automatically for new users.
