In general, the product works on XenForo 2.2. We are doing some final tests and will release an updated package soon.

Bug-fix: deleted users are shown as original poster

In this release, we have fixed a bug with guest/deleted users being shown as the original poster.
Now, only posts made by a guest with the same username as the deleted thread creator will be marked as the original poster.

In this release, we have added two new positions in the Style properties called Text: Post Date (left) and Text: Post Date (right). Positions are putting thread starter text indicator on the left or right side of the post date.

Yes, it can be translated/customized using phrases aloph_ribbon_desktop and aloph_ribbon_mobile (used for desktop and mobile browsers appropriately).

I have changed these phrases to say 'Author' or 'OP' and they still show as 'Thread Starter'

Please clarify what you mean. This add-on simply highlights the posts of the thread starter in the list of posts (thread page). If you need anything else than this, than it most likely cannot be done with this add-on.
